Namtso Lake
Namtso Lake is one of the largest and highest saltwater lakes in Tibet, lying at more than 4,700 metres above sea level north of Lhasa. Surrounded by snow-covered mountains and broad grasslands, the lake is an important pilgrimage site in Tibetan Buddhism as well as a striking example of the high-altitude landscape of the Tibetan Plateau.
