Prof. Francesco Frangialli is a highly influential authority and policymaker in the global tourism sector. He has served as the Director of the French National Tourist Office and the Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). He has long been committed to promoting the improvement of the global tourism governance system and the innovation of international cooperation mechanisms. During his tenure, he led the UN Tourism to achieve several milestone developments, including deepening collaboration among member countries, promoting sustainable tourism frameworks, and elevating the strategic importance of the tourism industry in the global economy.
Currently, Prof. Francesco Frangialli serves in multiple roles, including Honorary Secretary-General of the UN Tourism, Executive Chairman of the World Association of Hospitality and Tourism Education and Training (AMFORHT), Board Member of the International Hotel and Restaurant Association (IHRA), Chairman of the UNWTO ST-EP Foundation, and Individual Director of the International Mountain Tourism Alliance (IMTA). He remains active in global tourism policy-making, education, promotion, and sustainable development, offering long-term strategic consulting for various countries and regions, including China. He is widely recognized as a thought leader in the international tourism field.
