As a small city in Yunnan's very west, Tengchong is known best for its hot springs, the volcanic and geothermal surroundings as well as Heshun Ancient Town. But one more thing should not be missed on a visit close to the Myanmar border: the local jade art, unique and excellent in its kind!

Yunnan is specifically interesting for photographers. Our photography tours throughout Yunnan are of course best when specific areas of interest are most spectacular, like the blooming of the Luoping Rapeseed Flowers during spring time. Visit Yunnan now to witness the colorful cherry blossom!

"My crossing of the Daying River today marks the last day of my journey across China following the route of Edwin Dingle. I started in Shanghai, travelling to Chongqing by train and ferry. I then walked over 1,600 kilometres from Chongqing to Yingjiang through sunshine, rain, heat, mud and dust."

Iva's diary closely comes to an end. Enjoy part 5 of 6, leading her always in the direction of the Myanmar border, passing Dali, Baoshan and the great Nujiang River during the second half of July. Hospitality of locals, increadible scenery but also heaps of rain were her companions.
